Lake Sunapee historical cottage names and cottage owners are taken from five sources:
The 1892 map of Blodgett Landing with cottage owners names.
The 1910 Hancox Survey of Blodgett’s - Section B, the south end of the Landing.
The 1911 Indexed Hancox Map of the Sunapee area. This map has a list of the 1911 Lake Sunapee cottage owners.
The 1915 Indexed Hancox Map of the Sunapee area, This map has a list of the 1915 Lake Sunapee cottage owners
A list of Blodgett’s COA cottage owners and cottage names from 1924, courtesy of the NHS. The list includes cottage names, owners names and home addresses. You can look up your own cottage and see who the owner was in 1924.
The 1956 Sewer Survey information provided by Kara. This info was part of the analysis and justification for the original sewer system that was installed in 1959. It contains a list of cottage owners and cottage names and a hand-drawn map of Blodgett Landing, indicating cottage locations.
